Hey there!
My friends call me Kels, feel free to do so as well!

My biggest blessing is my family. Throughout my life and especially now being a full time MA student my family have been my biggest supports, emotionally, spiritually, and physically. They have always taught and helped me to dream BIG and to work hard for my dreams and not to settle for less than what I want. Without them I don't know where I would be.

I am far from perfect and experience ebbs and flows in commitment, resolves, and consistency. I think that's just a part of my journey and areas for improvement that I still am working on and through. To be candid, the MA process while working has tested me in ways I could not prepare myself for. In the final stretch now, I am exhausted and battling burnout. But don't let that deter you from asking me questions advice, seeking counselling with me or coaching. I work hard because my dream is to mobilize knowledge and to help people and families to dream big, to work hard, and to increase in self awareness, self respect and self love.

I am a strong believer that all things come together for good. One of my favorite verse in the Bible is: "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose." Romans 8:28 NIV. I believe that I am on this path now, and that every experience regardless if it felt good or bad, serves a purpose to teach me something about myself, others, the world, and God. All these things have purpose to help us all grow, transform and to serve others - a process that won't ever be completed in this side of heaven.

With that being said I am maturing into whom I am destined to be, and this process is not straightforward and is thwart with setbacks. But it isn't about how quickly I get there its about the journey itself and experiencing every once of heartache and hurrah that comes my way completely and unapologetically.

I love to write and am constantly perfecting my craft each and everyday. I use all aspects of myself to write, and the way I see the world and interact with it is in direct relation to my status, which is a Black Christian Female in Canada. With that being said I am not perfect and so if you come across, grammar, typos, or punctuation errors, have a laugh and let me know so I can fix it!
